Generally laminated bars are cheaper than solid bars. Laminated bars are multiple (3) plys of metal that are brought together. The inner ply is smaller and so the rails are created. Solid bars are a solid chunk of metal and the rails are ground out. Stihl bars are good bars.Husqvarna runs oregon chain stock. I would check the bar it will have the size of chain stamped in it. Alot of the Husqvarna .325 on the newer saws is narrow kerf chain ,husky H30. It crosses to Oregon 95vpx. If you are going with a one saw plan and getting into 24" wood, the 362 is the obvious choice. 50cc saws are nice, but only if you have a 70cc+ saw to handle the bigger stuff. A 60cc saw is a good one saw plan for most users, a 50cc is not.

The biggest difference between the 50, 51 and 55 was the bore size and the intake/choke change. Early 50 had a 44mm bore, both open and closed port version existed, with a choke slider on the top cover. The mid-late 50 had a open port 44mm bore with the same choke as before. If I get much older I guess I'll buy one of those one hand battery powered 4 inch saws. I still keep my 359 Husky however..I have 2 saws. A husky 350 and a 372. The 372 mainly to get anything that the 350 can't because it's much easier on gas and easier to handle. Although it would be nicer to have a power head that could fit a 36 inch bar and have more power, but I get by with what I have.
