Apr 5, 2008 · I have a Caroni TM1900 flail that I really like. I had previously used both bush hogs and rotary finish mowers. The flail cuts pretty close to the finish mower in quality but is more like the bush hog in its ability to cut rough stuff. I like the short projection off the rear of the tractor and the quiet (especially compared to the bush hog). Unscrew the nut on the tensioning rod as far as it will go but don't take it off!!! 2. The caroni BSCs seem to be great for pasture/light woody stuff based on owner reviews in the other thread & if the 1900 fsc was easily available, I'd probably already have pulled the trigger, but the BSC with only two rows seems like it might wind up being a bit rough on lawn vs a finish mower.
